Rural Pride: at the baptism of Ezio, the son of Mathieu, from “Love is in the Meadow”

The first gay candidate on the program to get married was present this Saturday at the "Rural Gay Pride" which took place in Vienne.
By Marie Poussel , special correspondent in Chenevelles (Vienne)It's a day of celebration this Saturday in Chenevelles, a small village of 500 inhabitants, a forty-five-minute drive from Poitiers (Vienne). For the fourth consecutive year, the town, nestled in fields of sunflowers that stretch as far as the eye can see, is hosting the Rural Pride, a "countryside pride parade" that brings together associations, creators, and unions fighting for LGBT+ rights and to give visibility to this community.
It's barely 10 a.m. when the first tractor pulls up in front of the town hall, banners flying and horns blaring the refrain of the children's song "Baby Shark." A group of grannies, sitting on a bench in front of the town hall, are laughing. "We've never seen so many people in Chenevelles," they giggle.
