Molsheim: The Bee and Honey Festival will be buzzing with activity

The buzzing of bees will mingle with the melodies of fanfare and rock music on Sunday, August 31, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., as the Molsheim beekeeping center organizes its traditional Bee and Honey Festival at the Espace Saint-Joseph.
Starting in the morning, visitors will be able to discover a local market where local producers will showcase their specialties. This will be an opportunity to meet beekeepers, taste their hive products, and discuss their practices.
A honey tasting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to allow the public to discover the diversity of flavors of this precious nectar. President Nicolas Stocky explains: "Beyond the festive aspect, the event aims to raise public awareness of the importance of bees for our ecosystem." To this end, lectures on beekeeping will punctuate the day. Younger visitors will be able to have fun and learn through dedicated games and activities.
The festival will also feature music. The Rothau Festive Brass Band will provide entertainment for the aperitif concert, while the rock band The Quilt will take over in the afternoon. Visitors can enjoy a barbecue prepared by beekeepers and food trucks.
These events are completely free. The Bee and Honey Festival is an opportunity to support local expertise, celebrate the work of beekeepers, and remember the vital role these insects play in our biodiversity.
