Meuse. The Montmédy Corn Maze: 17 Years of Getting Lost!

"Sign! There's a sign over there!" shouts ring out in the maze on this not-so-sunny but rain-free afternoon! Families are taking the opportunity to try outdoor activities and discover or rediscover the corn maze located in Montmédy, in the north of the Meuse. It's the only maze in the department and this year it's celebrating its 17th summer season. The site is made up of a cornfield with paths laid out on the right and left—in short, a maze! And to enhance the walk, visitors are invited to investigate in two original scenarios, offered at reception. Panels with clues or a list of suspects are to be found, and the whole family is involved... Tom, 9, and Léo, 5, are accompanied by their aunt and grandmother and they are discovering the site for the first time. "The eldest wasn't very keen on the idea of going for a walk," sighs the grandmother, "but in the end he got into it and they ran ahead with his little brother to find the signs... We'll probably do both investigations, it's really fun!" The activity is ideal for spending quality time with family or friends during this holiday period. In addition to the walk, the reception area is also very exotic.
Designed like a small beach with sand and games, you can settle down to enjoy an ice cream or a cold drink. The large bouncy castle is a delight for children and allows parents and grandparents to take a breather! "We're regulars, we come several times during the summer," says this mother. "With the weather, you really have to choose your day carefully... But it's always a great time here!"
Several activities are offered throughout the summer at the labyrinth, starting with an Escape Game. There are 3 possible sessions per day and you have to thwart the evil ritual of the sacred forest: quite a program! Massage sessions, a kinesiology workshop and Zumba are also planned. Two major events are highly anticipated and promise good times: a "Night of the Shooting Stars" evening on Saturday, August 16 and a night in the labyrinth on Saturday, August 23, with a treasure hunt under the stars.
