Gregory Poussier exhibits his delicate art at Clos des Roses in Fréjus

A poet of chisels and modeling, the Toulouse native, passing through Fréjus, shares his vision of art with us. And what better setting than the Clos des Roses to present a collection of fascinating bronzes and terracotta? A true Little Prince of plastic art, through his works, the artist tells us a story of humanity. His favorite subject: the body, the fluidity of movement, and his work is absolutely remarkable. After exploring the illustrious figures and heroes of mythology gathered in a series entitled "The Humanities," Grégory Poussier devotes himself to what moves him: the invisible artisans who work to create wonder. Always in search of a certain perfection, he spends hours looking for the magic moment: "Through the sculptures there is of course the work of the artist but also that of the model. This search for the moment which lasts only a tenth of a second, which is elusive, gave birth to my series Les faiseurs de sublime " .

Precision, realism and poetry

A theme that the artist treats with extreme precision and infinite realism that results in sculptures of breathtaking poetry. Sensitive to art or not, it is difficult not to appreciate the Shadow Inker (bronze exhibited at the Bastide du Clos), the Wheat Brusher or even the Bird Choreographer (bronzes also exhibited at the Clos des Roses).

Its hostess, Laurence Barbero, does not hide her pride in opening her space to Grégory: "I have been passionate about art for a long time and I greatly appreciate Grégory's work. Since 2014, the Art Life Gallery has aimed to both democratize art and promote emerging artists. Grégory is not an artist like the others. He follows a strict creative line. He captures what the eye does not always distinguish and bewitches us with his interpretation of the sublime. The quality of his work is such that we would like to extend the duration of the exhibition," says Laurence Barbero.

Present internationally

With growing success, Grégory Poussier's name resonates internationally. He is represented in Sweden, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Israel, and other countries. When we met, he was just returning from the United States, where he plans to showcase his work. Highly appreciated by art lovers, his bronzes are limited to just eight numbered copies.
