Despite his crutch – "I recklessly played football!" – Aziz Shokhakimov walks briskly to his dressing room. In less than an hour, he will conduct "his" Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra in Gustav Mahler's monumental 2nd Symphony, known as the Resurrection Symphony . " Since my adolescence, it has been part of my personal pantheon ," he assures us. "Its spiritual and philosophical scope inspires me, as does its cosmic dimension."
