Citizen Series 8 Ice-Blue, endless summer

The Japanese giant unveils a limited edition “Ice-Blue” within its Series 8 collection.
Skip the ad Skip the adThe Japanese group Citizen has been producing watches for a century now. In terms of volume, quality, and even more so in terms of price, its creations have the potential to compete head-on with many Swiss-made products. To further prove this, beyond the success in France of its elegant Tsuyosa watches at very reasonable prices, the Japanese watchmaker is this time unveiling an exclusive limited edition within its Series 8 collection. A range of mechanical watches where the "8" is chosen as the symbol of infinity. This limited edition of 1,800 pieces for the world, including 80 for France, is priced this time at 895 euros.
For this price, you get a Cal. 9051 mechanical movement, both self-winding and manually wound, within an octagonal steel case, water-resistant to 100 meters. It promises daily accuracy of -10 to +20 seconds and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. This caliber can be seen through the watch's sapphire crystal caseback, which is also designed to resist the magnetic fields of smartphones and tablets, even when placed less than a centimeter away. But it's obviously the dial of this watch that catches the eye the most, with its icy blue geometric pattern inspired by the sun shimmering in the ocean. A perfect finish to make summer last on your wrist well after the start of the school year.
