Chronofixe Cofrefor: Asterix returns to Switzerland

In tribute to the 55th anniversary of the album Asterix in Helvetia, the French watch brand has designed an offbeat watch with Romaric André, founder of the Seconde/Seconde/ label.
What do you spontaneously think of when someone mentions Switzerland? Be honest: chocolate, cheese, mountain pastures, or the inviolable banking secrecy and safes? How can you not also think of David Castello-Lopes's song exams? "I have money, I'm financially comfortable. I'm not complaining, is business booming right now? So, I'm buying stuff!"
Inspired by the aesthetics of the famous Swiss Ferner safes, Romaric André, founder of the Seconde/Seconde/ label, has imagined a new limited edition "Asterix". A tribute to the sixteenth album of the little Gallic warrior published in 1970, then visiting our Swiss neighbors. A great way to reinvent the French watch brand founded in 1857 and relaunched by Rémi Chabrat, CEO of the Montrichard group, and Jon Cruys. After a first Chronofixe Astérix on the occasion of the 65th birthday of the hero of Uderzo and Goscinny , this time it's time for a safe to wear on the wrist, with Asterix on its dial, his right ear glued to the dial, his left hand turning the bezel, as if he were trying to decipher the combination.
The crown of this watch also resembles a safe handle, and its directional bezel reinforces the nod. The final nod is inscribed on the back of its 37 mm steel case: "As hermetic as a Swiss safe." This limited edition, priced at €740 and equipped with a Swiss Sellita movement with a 41-hour power reserve, will be available until the end of December 2025.
