Thunderous applause and tears of happiness for Scarlett Johansson at the end of her screening. For this 78th edition , the American presents her first feature film as a director: Eleanor the Great. A tender look at a friendship between two women who are complete opposites. “My goal was to tell a story without any judgment. I had to create empathy for each of the characters. I think that's my job,” shared Scarlett Johansson.
Three-month-old Michelle is the youngest at the Cannes Film Festival. She's made entirely of silicone because Michelle is a movie prop, a realistic fake baby that fools festival security. It takes two months to make a baby like this from scratch. This is very practical for certain film shoots, as in France, the law prohibits the use of children under three months of age.
