It's a trio of professional watches that are now part of watchmaking history: in 1957, Omega unveiled the Railmadster, designed for railway personnel alongside the Seamaster 300 intended for divers and the very first Speedmaster designed for racing drivers. Its key feature: a protective case around the movement, allowing this watch to withstand magnetic fields of up to 1000 gauss. A very useful asset for engineers, technicians and scientists who worked on power lines... It must be said that at the time, most antimagnetic watches of the time only offered protection up to 60 gauss.

Relaunched in 2003, this vintage-look Railmaster returns this year in four new versions: 38mm Master Chronometer models in stainless steel. One elegant small seconds model features a beige dial with a black gradient. This model is available on a golden-brown Novonappa leather strap or a steel bracelet. Added to this is a 38mm version with a gray dial with a black gradient. Their clean dial features only the OMEGA logo and the Railmaster name, with large indexes and numerals applied in white Super-LumiNova. This model is available on a black leather strap or a steel bracelet.

These two new models, water-resistant to 150 meters, are powered by Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibers 8806 (8804 for the Small Seconds version) certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). These movements promise a 60-hour power reserve, visible through the transparent sapphire crystal of the case back. Like all current Master Chronometer watches, these new Railmasters are resistant to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. Their price ranges from 5,600 to 6,300 euros depending on the model and strap choice.
