A new long weekend is beginning, and many people are starting to think about a getaway to a nearby destination to spend the day, eat something delicious, or even stay overnight in a rural destination . A change of routine and a good time.
Several places in the province of Buenos Aires —some right here, across General Paz Street; others a little further away—are organizing activities to enjoy during these days.
Here are some suggestions for the long weekend agenda to keep in mind.
With free admission , this party takes place today, Friday the 20th, from 2 p.m. and tomorrow, Saturday the 21st, at 12 p.m., at the old train station.

From Friday the 20th to Sunday the 22nd, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the Atlántida Forest Reserve, Héctor Berdasco Plaza, visitors and residents can enjoy the exhibition and sale of handmade chocolates and alfajores, live performances, games, and raffles. Admission is free.

It promises the participation of "the best artisanal alfajores producers in the country."
La Estación Park will be transformed these days into a parade of chocolate, dulce de leche, crispy pastry, and creativity. There will be alfajores with sea salt, gluten-free, triple-crusted, coated, fruit-filled, or coffee-filled, among many other options to choose from.
In addition to a gastronomic space with food trucks and special guests : Flor Menescaldi, Roberto Goni, Damián "Pier" Basile (winner of Bake Off 2020), Miguel Alberto Fierro, Juan Manuel Logiacco, Pablo Galván, Roxana Erneta, and Lautaro Mancuso among others.
"In addition to being an event for the people, it's also a commitment to continue promoting entrepreneurship. We have representatives from 33 towns in Buenos Aires and from the entire country, from Chacho to Tierra del Fuego," said Pamela Kahles, organizer of the Argentine Alfajor Championship and event coordinator at Parque la Estación.
Some highlights of the event will be the Best Argentine Alfajor Competition, the special master class by Damián De Santo, and live shows (www.instagram.com/campeonatoargentinoalfajorok).
Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd, starting at 12 noon, at the venue located at 575 España Avenue, with free admission.

"A celebration that ignites winter with the traditional Burning of the Devil at dusk," is how they describe this event, which will also feature the opportunity to taste traditional foods, a Devil costume contest, and a Doll competition (www.facebook.com/agrupacionmallorca.sanpedro; www.instagram.com/sanpedromunicipio/; www.facebook.com/sanpedrobuenosaires).
This Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st, at 9 p.m., at the Radio City Art Center - Roxy - Melany, and on Sunday the 22nd, at 5 p.m., at the Victoria Ocampo Cultural Center, this festival promotes jazz and talents from the region.

Wolves, Faith and Universe. Saturday the 21st, at 7:45 p.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Salgado and Albertini Streets.
Cemetery Circuit, Open-Air Museum. Sunday the 22nd, at 11 a.m., at the Municipal Cemetery (Loyola and Fortunato Díaz Streets).
Wetland Nature Walk. Sunday the 22nd, at 3 p.m., at Lobos Lagoon (Costanera Avenue and 35th Street).
Adventure with History. Saturday the 21st, at 2:00 PM, at the Loma Negra Home Museum (Sarmiento and Luciano Fortabat). A 4-kilometer guided tour of medium-low difficulty will explore the history, landscapes, and culture of the town. There will be stops in Villa Obrera, the Loma Negra Club, and Fortabat Hill, where We Tripantu, a Mapuche ceremony to welcome the new solar cycle, is held.

Mónica García Botanical Trail. Saturday the 21st, at 10:00 a.m., at Padre Cardiel and Carlos Gesell. Guided tour on the cultural and natural aspects of the creation of the Mar de las Pampas landscape.
