Thailand will give away 200,000 plane tickets to travelers to boost tourism.

Over time, Thailand has become one of the most sought-after destinations for tourists. Bangkok , its vibrant capital, is full of Buddhist temples and other wonders like the Grand Palace. In the north of the country, we find other places of interest, such as Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai , surrounded by vast natural beauty that invites us to enjoy active tourism. And, of course, in the south, the popular towns of Phuket and Krabi await us, as well as islands like Phi Phi, Koh Tao , and Koh Samui.
In short, it's worth exploring every corner of the Asian nation , something that will be much cheaper thanks to an initiative by its Ministry of Tourism and Sports, 'Buy International, Free Thailand Domestic Flights', with which it will give away 200,000 plane tickets to travelers.
Traveling out of seasonThailand 's high season runs from November to April. Tourist arrivals peak during these times due to the pleasant temperatures and drier climate, which translates into more expensive flights and accommodations. On the other hand, the low season runs from May to October, when monsoon rains are more frequent and tourist influxes decrease .
To counteract this seasonality, spread tourism throughout the year, and combat overcrowding in the most crowded destinations, Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports has launched an initiative to give away free domestic airline tickets to 200,000 international travelers visiting the country between September and November. Tourists will only need to purchase flights from their home country to the Asian country and will be able to enjoy free domestic flights.
Specifically, the Thai government will cover domestic one-way tickets up to 1,750 baht (46.12 euros) and round-trip tickets up to 3,500 baht (92.24 euros) . However, only those entering the country by plane will be eligible for this gift, excluding those entering by boat or land. The participating airlines are Thai Airways, Thai AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, and Thai Vietjet, and all of them will include 20 kg of luggage with their free tickets.
