Unemployment support in Edomex: Receive up to 15,000 pesos if you lost your job.


MEXICO CITY (apro).— The State of Mexico government , through the Ministry of Labor, has begun the registration process for the 2025 "Unemployment Support for Well-being" program . This initiative seeks to provide financial support to state residents who have lost their formal jobs. The program has a budget of 52.8 million pesos for this edition.
Registration for applicants will be open from August 4 to 15, 2025. Interested applicants can apply in two ways: online, through the official Ministry of Labor portal, or in person at the Regional Employment Offices located throughout the state.

The support consists of a monthly cash transfer of 3,000 pesos. This amount may be granted up to five times, depending on the beneficiary's return to the labor market and the program's budget availability, for a total of 15,000 pesos per person. The funds will be delivered via a personalized bank card for beneficiaries.
Norberto Morales Poblete, Secretary of Labor, stated during the presentation of the call that the goal is for the program to consolidate its position as a support for residents of the State of Mexico who face economic difficulties due to the lack of formal employment .
Who can apply for unemployment benefits?The call is open to individuals over 18 years of age who reside in any of the 125 municipalities in the State of Mexico . A fundamental requirement is that applicants must have lost their formal job in the last 18 months due to causes beyond their control.

Furthermore, the program's guidelines establish that they must not be beneficiaries of any other federal, state, or municipal social program that provides monetary support. Priority will be given to vulnerable groups, such as women, people with disabilities, older adults, and heads of household.
The program not only includes financial support but also links beneficiaries to the state labor market to facilitate their reintegration into the formal sector. Additionally, access to labor certification programs is provided through the Industrial Labor Training and Development Institute (ICATI).
How to register for the program?To begin the process, interested parties must have the required documentation on hand. Online registration can be completed at any time through the Ministry of Labor's website . On this platform, applicants must complete the Single Welfare Form (FUB) and attach the requested documents in PDF format.

For those who choose to register in person, the Regional Employment Offices are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., located in municipalities such as Atlacomulco, Ecatepec, Ixtapaluca, La Paz, Naucalpan, Nezahualcóyotl, San Mateo Atenco, Tlalnepantla, Tejupilco, and Toluca.

Publication of program results and backgroundThe list of beneficiaries of the "Unemployment Support for Well-being" program will be published in September 2025. The results can be viewed on the official website of the State of Mexico's Labor Secretariat.
The program has shown an increase in its reach in previous years. In 2023, 5,026 grants were awarded, while in 2024 the number increased to 7,069 beneficiaries. By 2025, it is expected to deliver up to 17,000 grants per month with the allocated cash grant.
