What score do you need to enter the National University in 2026? These are the requirements.
With the Colombian university admissions process approaching, many applicants are seeking information about the requirements to apply to one of the country's most prestigious higher education institutions, the National University.
These requirements are detailed in Article 2 of Resolution 11 of 2025 issued by said institution, which states the following:
"To be admitted to a curricular program at the National University of Colombia, all of the following conditions must be met:"
- "Register within the dates and under the conditions established in the call."
- "Submit the tests designed for the respective call, following the instructions given in the materials provided for the test."
- "Obtain a score that places you within the available space in the curricular program for which you applied."
- "Do not incur in the prohibitions established by current regulations."
- "Not having any current disciplinary sanctions from the National University of Colombia."
However, there are some essential steps you must follow to apply for admission to undergraduate programs for the first academic semester of 2026. We'll tell you all about them.

According to the official admissions page of the National University, these are the key steps:
- Consult the regulations and the curricular programs offered.
- Pay the registration fees.
- Formalize your registration online.
- Find out the summons for the test and present it.
- Register your program of interest.
- Look at the admission results obtained.
- Enrollment in programs with available spaces, if not admitted.
- Check admissions results for programs that still have available seats.
- Quota allocation process.
- Equal opportunities plan.

According to the National University's admissions website, a score of 450 or higher would apparently be required.
However, please note that achieving this score on the admissions test and being eligible to enroll in a curricular program, depending on the location chosen during registration, does not guarantee a spot at the University. This result only allows you to advance to the next stages of the admissions process.
The admissions process dates for the first semester of 2026 programs are:
- Registration fees are payable from July 7 to August 13, 2025.
- Registration will be formalized from July 7 to August 13, 2025.
- Starting September 1, 2025, the admission test notice will be available.
- The admission test will be taken on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
- On October 1st you can check your score.
- From October 1-6, 2025, enroll in a curricular program.
- You can check your admission results on October 9, 2025.
