Two robbers attack a taxi driver in Seville shouting “kill him, stab him, don’t let him get out of here alive”

An uncle and his nephew who were stealing together accepted sentences of three and two years in prison respectively on Monday, February 24. They were in the dock for violently attacking and robbing a taxi driver in 2024. This is according to information published by Diario de Sevilla .
The events occurred during the early hours of Sunday, April 21, 2024, when the victim was transporting them by taxi from Seville to the town of Dos Hermanas, in Andalusia. Between 00:40 and 1:10, the accused stopped the taxi on the street Parlamento de Andalucía, in front of the Macarena walls.
At first, it seemed like it was just another trip for the taxi driver, but he soon became involved in a violent attack. When they were about to reach their destination, the main defendant “placed a knife to the neck” of the driver and, “with great aggression and violence,” he said to him: “Give me everything you have or I will kill you right here.” This is how the prosecution’s indictment recounts it, with which the two defendants agreed on Monday.
The victim The taxi driver was off work for almost three weeks after the attack due to his injuriesWhen he was able to get out of the vehicle, the taxi driver tried to take the knife from his attacker. The attack continued with shouts of: “Kill him, stab him, we kill this guy, stab him so he doesn’t escape, so he doesn’t get out of here alive.” The other defendant got out of the car and “hit him hard in the back” and another in the mouth, according to the aforementioned media.
After a struggle, the taxi driver “finally managed to snatch” the gun from the assailant, who then “fled the scene”. The victim also began to run “in the opposite direction”. The other defendant stayed near the vehicle “for a few more minutes” to steal the taxi driver’s wallet. Once the robbery was over, he met up with his nephew at a house on Encina Street, although the police soon found them.
