The Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM) released its weather report for the week of July 1-4 . According to the agency, the heaviest rainfall will be concentrated in the central and southern Caribbean region, the northern Andean region, the northern and western Pacific region, as well as large sections of the Orinoquia and Amazon regions.
Furthermore, in the Pacific, Amazon, and Orinoquia regions, the most significant rainfall is expected to occur mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.

The heaviest rainfall, accompanied by possible isolated thunderstorms, is expected in parts of the departments of Caquetá, Guaviare, Vaupés, Meta, Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Cauca, Nariño, Bolívar, Putumayo, and Amazonas.

Friday, July 4th The trend for today indicates a general decrease in rainfall intensity and frequency across the country . However, significant rainfall is still expected in areas of southern Bolívar, Córdoba, northern Cesar, Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Vichada, eastern Guainía, and parts of the Amazon foothills.
