Get your umbrella ready: These are the regions where it will rain this week, according to IDEAM.

The Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM) released its weather report for the week of July 1-4 . According to the agency, the heaviest rainfall will be concentrated in the central and southern Caribbean region, the northern Andean region, the northern and western Pacific region, as well as large sections of the Orinoquia and Amazon regions.

Furthermore, in the Pacific, Amazon, and Orinoquia regions, the most significant rainfall is expected to occur mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.

For Bogotá, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected, with a high probability of rain throughout the week.

According to IDEAM, rain is expected in parts of the Pacific region, in specific areas of the northwestern Andean region, the center and south of the Caribbean region, as well as in different areas of the Orinoquia and Amazon regions, on Tuesday afternoon and evening .

The heaviest rainfall, some with a chance of thunderstorms , is expected to be concentrated in departments such as Nariño, Valle del Cauca, Chocó, western Putumayo, and Meta, especially in the Colombian Pacific maritime zone and the southwest of the Caribbean basin.

Partly cloudy skies with occasional showers are expected in the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina.

For today, IDEAM experts forecast abundant cloud cover over much of the country, with a chance of rain of varying intensity.

Rainfall is expected especially in large areas of the Pacific, Amazon, southern Caribbean, and western and southern Orinoquia regions. The heaviest rainfall, accompanied by possible isolated thunderstorms, is expected in parts of the departments of Caquetá, Guaviare, Vaupés, Meta, Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Cauca, Nariño, Bolívar, Putumayo, and Amazonas.

Partly cloudy skies and predominantly dry weather are expected toward the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina, according to the agency.

According to IDEAM, high cloud cover will continue across the country today, with possible continuous rain in parts of the Pacific region, the eastern Orinoquia region, the western Amazon, and the southern and central Caribbean region. Heavier rains are also expected in the departments of Bolívar, Sucre, Córdoba, Chocó, Vichada, Vaupés, Meta, Putumayo, Casanare, and Guaviare.

Experts from the organization also point out that partly cloudy skies are expected in the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina, with predominantly dry weather, although isolated showers are not ruled out in the southern sector of the archipelago.

The trend for today indicates a general decrease in rainfall intensity and frequency across the country . However, significant rainfall is still expected in areas of southern Bolívar, Córdoba, northern Cesar, Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Vichada, eastern Guainía, and parts of the Amazon foothills.

According to IDEAM, partly to mostly cloudy skies are forecast for the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina, with occasional rain between morning and afternoon.
