Angely Báez is honored in the book Great Dominicans
Renowned broadcaster Angely Báez has been included in the 28th edition of the book Grandes Dominicanos 2025 , a work that celebrates exemplary figures for their contributions to society.
Great Dominicans , written by journalist and author Carlos T. Martínez and released on Sunday at the National Theater, pays tribute to the careers of 33 prominent figures in various fields.
Among them is Báez, who has achieved a milestone as the first Dominican to win a Voice Arts Award in the United States, considered the "Oscar" of voice-over talent, and as the first international ambassador for Voice-Over Talent from the Society of Voice Arts & Sciences (SOVAS), representing the Dominican Republic, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
"Thank you, Don Carlos , for making stories visible and reminding us that sharing our stories is also about serving our country . I'm honored to share this page with 32 talented Dominicans who are raising our flag in different areas. For me, more than recognition, it's a great commitment to continue leaving a mark with integrity, passion, purpose, and love for my country," Báez said upon receiving the award.
For the announcer , who this year was the official voice of the Soberano Awards and was awarded "Best Announcer of the Year" 2025, being part of volume 28 of Grandes Dominicanos represents "one of the most valuable distinctions " of her professional life.
She is currently narrating a new audiobook , the second installment of a series by an American author. She is also a distinguished bilingual master of ceremonies , a role she performs fluently in both Spanish and English.
With more than 20 years of career , Angely Báez has managed to unfold in different scenarios that go beyond traditional voice-over , positioning herself as the official voice of renowned local and international brands , she has narrated more than a dozen audiobooks, she is an international speaker and a reference in voice-over throughout the region.
