A man was beaten to death in Tarragona and will now spend 15 and 7 years in prison for it

Two men have been sentenced to 15 and 7 years in prison after being found guilty of murder in 2023. The victim was another man who was helpless, because he had consumed alcohol, and who ended up dying hours later in hospital due to the beating. This is according to information published by the Diari de Tarragona .
The events occurred on September 29, 2023, very close to the Mercadal square, in the town of Reus (Tarragona). A concert was being held there that day, which was attended by one of the convicted men and the victim. At around 10:30 p.m., an argument began between the two, in which the defendant hit the victim, who fell to the ground on at least two occasions.

After this second fight, the injured man was taken to the Sant Joan Hospital in Reus, where he died at 2:30 in the morning on 1 October due to haemorrhagic shock as a result of the beating.
