Young woman went to the doctor for cramps and ended up giving birth the same day: 'I found out I was pregnant'

Yesenia Figueroa, a young Mexican woman, shared a storytime video on social media about the time she went to the doctor for menstrual cramps and discovered she was pregnant.
According to the young woman's TikTok account, in November 2024 she began experiencing severe pain in her lower abdomen, so her parents suggested she seek professional help.

Although the discomfort intensified over the days, the woman thought it was part of her irregular cycle, which led her to schedule an appointment with the gynecologist. However, within hours, the cramps became so intense that she couldn't sleep.
“It was already dawn, around four in the morning, when I woke up and told my parents that I couldn't take it anymore,” Figueroa said at the beginning of the clip, referring to the reason she was taken to the emergency room.
According to the young woman, specialists performed several tests, but the real cause was discovered when one of the doctors informed her that an ultrasound was necessary to see if there was any internal inflammation.
“I didn't have a belly, my belly wasn't big or anything,” the woman explained in the post, highlighting that from the moment she entered the hospital, neither the doctors nor she suspected she was pregnant.

In the middle of his story, Figuero revealed that during the ultrasound procedure, the doctors were unsure whether the images on the monitor were those of a baby or some abnormality, as there was no evidence to support that conclusion.
"I'm not lying to you, there were about eight doctors in a small emergency room," the woman added in the clip. After a long silence from the doctors, the patient asked what was causing her discomfort.

When the young woman questioned, the doctor told her that she was pregnant and that the severe pain was not due to her menstrual cycle, but because her baby was about to be born.
In one of her posts, Figueroa clarified that for a long time she was unaware of her condition because she had a cryptic pregnancy, which is characterized by not presenting common symptoms or becoming visible until an advanced stage.
