The Viñeta Festival will bring together comic book and geek culture fans in Guadalajara.

The world of comics, animation, video games, and board games will converge on Guadalajara on Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th, when the Viñeta Festival celebrates its third edition at the Museum of Journalism and Graphic Arts (MUPAG). The event, with free admission from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., will bring together more than 30 creators, editors, and graphic narrative artists .
The event, originally scheduled for August, was rescheduled for reasons beyond the organizers' control , who are already fine-tuning a program that seeks to bring the public closer to the multiple forms of visual and creative expression that orbit the geek world.
Viñeta is an initiative organized in co-responsibility with Academia Brújula Comics, Red Tatewari and the Cultural Directorate of Guadalajara, with support from Tintas Flexográficas Arter, Cámara Craft and Jalapeño Lab. In its previous editions —2023 at the Colomos Cultural Center and 2024 at La Perla— it attracted more than 20 thousand visitors .
This year, the festival will offer workshops, talks, short film screenings, a video game tournament, interactive activities, and a space for the sale and exhibition of comics, graphic novels, visual art, stickers, and original products.
Guests include Lucas Marangón , official Star Wars LATAM artist; the Fósil Films team, creators of the multi-award-winning short film The Highway of Dogs; renowned Guadalajara-based illustrator Eva Cabrera ; and video game designer Oscar Aceves , along with other local, national, and international artists.
