The invitation came from the founding of his current club, Inter Miami CF, who connected with Refik Anadol , born in Istanbul and trained in Los Angeles, famous for his monumental immersive installations powered by databases and AI.

The A Goal in Life project “unites the emotional legacy of sport with the future of art,” Anadol, a key figure in the most disruptive art of the 21st century, commented in a statement. Honored by the invitation, he added: “At our studio, we have always believed in the power of data to tell deeply human stories. Using AI to visualize the memory of Messi’s favorite goal is both a creative and ethical endeavor: celebrating emotion, memory, and excellence,” added the artist, who is about to open his own AI art museum in Los Angeles, near MOCA and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Leo Messi will be the one to choose his personal favorite goal. He will reveal it to the world on the Inter Miami CF Foundation 's social media channels on May 22 (11:00 a.m. ET), but the final work will be on display at Christie's New York on June 11, signed by both creators, before being auctioned on July 25.

It will connect—they claim—the purest visual representation of Messi's chosen goal and Anadol's artistic interpretation, generated from millions of data points linked to that moment. Ximena Caminos is the artistic curator of this ambitious project.

The campaign has already begun with a video featuring a handful of Messi's dazzling goals. Many of them were decisive in his achievements or historic moments; others are remembered for their beauty or brilliance. Morgan Freeman 's voice gracefully delivers the script, which has a Spanish version by Guillermo Francella .

The images feature goals scored with the Argentina national team jersey; others with FC Barcelona, ​​Paris Saint-Germain, or Inter Miami CF.
