Justin Bieber Confirms His Commitment to Hailey Bieber and Their Marriage in His ‘I Do’ Lyrics

There’s no question that Hailey Bieber is Justin Bieber’s muse. His new album, Swag II, which dropped at midnight, appears to have multiple songs about the Rhode founder, whom he married in 2018. One of those tracks is “I Do,” a romantic R&B ballad that reveals his dedication to his wife.
Justin sings in the chorus, “I mean it when I said that I do,” alluding to their wedding. Later, he reiterates his commitment to her, saying, “You will always be the one that I choose.” He also mentions talking through their issues: “If something’s going down, yeah / Let’s communicate it now.”
Hailey is personally a fan of the song and shared a screenshot of herself listening to it the morning after the album drop.
Justin and Hailey tied the knot at a courthouse in September 2018 and then held a formal wedding ceremony a year later in South Carolina. In May 2024, they shared footage from their vow renewal in Hawaii—and announced they were expecting their first child together. Their son, Jack Blues Bieber, just turned 1 year old on August 22.
Justin’s albums Swag, which debuted in July, and Swag II arrived after fans speculated that trouble was brewing between him and Hailey. The singer has addressed the rumors in songs like “Walking Away” and even his new track “Speed Demon.” Hailey, meanwhile, opened up about how their marriage is perceived in an interview with Vogue. “I feel like I’ve fought so hard to try to get people to understand me, or know who I am, or see me for me. And people just don’t want to sometimes. And there’s nothing you can do about that,” she said. “I’ve been in a position where I’ve tried to tell my side of a story or correct a narrative or tell the truth of a lie and then they go, Well, she’s lying. Imagine how trapping that feels.”
She added that her husband has helped her through these challenges. “I’ve learned so much from Justin, really. He’s been doing this literally since he was a child and he has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know. He was like, ‘Baby, trust me, I’ve been here before many, many times. You’re not going to win. There is no winning.’”
