Iron Man approves: Robert Downey Jr. endorses Ironheart

Ahead of the premiere of "Ironheart" on the Disney+ platform, actor Robert Downey Jr. sent his best wishes to his successor, actress Dominique Thorne, who will be the new Iron Man of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

The new Marvel series will seek expand the universe of the character of Riri Williams , played by Dominique Thorne and whom we saw in the film "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" (2022). For the program "Good Morning America" , the Oscar-winning actor surprised Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos with a recorded message, where he sent his best wishes to the protagonist of the series "Ironheart" .

"I couldn't be happier to see you bring Riri Williams to life, but the hood has me nervous." , said Robert Downey Jr. , referring to his upcoming role as the villain Dr. Doom in "Avengers: Doomsday" (2026). Robert Downey Jr. also joked with Anthony Ramos and, at the end of his message, formed a heart with his hands and said: "In short: Iron Man loves Ironheart," she said, offering her best wishes for Dominique Thorne's upcoming projects.

This coming June 24th, the series "Ironheart" will arrive on the Disney+ streaming platform. The Marvel project will have 6 chapters that will make up the first season and whose story will follow the events seen in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever."

The plot will follow "Ironheart" who will face "The Hood" , played by Anthony Ramos , a villain who uses advanced weapons combined with magical powers. This project is part of the official conclusion of Phase 5 of the Marvel Universe.
