A young man was found dead in a Manchester university dormitory after complaining of an upset stomach.

In late September 2025, Joshua Adiefeh, a first-year student at Manchester Metropolitan University, was found dead on the floor of a residence hall hours after he reported experiencing stomach pain.

The incident was reported by Daniel and Joel, the deceased's brothers, who are currently raising funds for the funeral through a virtual campaign on the Gofundme platform.

According to what the young people revealed, on September 28, Joshua told his classmates that he felt a strange discomfort in his stomach , so he went to his room to rest.

However, two hours later, when his brothers came to find out how he was, they saw him lying in his bedroom, completely unconscious.

Daniel and Joel immediately rushed him to a nearby medical center, where doctors confirmed that the accounting and finance student was no longer showing any signs of life.

According to his twin brother, despite Joshua's reputation as a healthy person, he began to get sick several months ago and symptoms began to appear.

During his story, Joel revealed that when they arrived at the young man's room, he was feeling very ill, so they called an ambulance, but the paramedics recommended giving him paracetamol while they arrived at the scene.

"He was unable to move. He wasn't responding to anyone," the student's brother said. He also recalled that the medical staff did everything possible to resuscitate Joshua, but they were unsuccessful.

“He followed different diets, like eating only once a day to stay in top condition, and sometimes they made him vomit,” Joel said, referring to the fact that both he and his family are still searching for an explanation for the university student’s death.

While the cause of Joshua's death is unknown at this time, his siblings believe Joshua's strenuous routine and poor diet may have been the cause of his illness.
