Through social media, several Internet users have reported the case of a content creator, identified as Sagar Kundu , who lost his life when he was swept away by the current of a waterfall while trying to record content for his YouTube channel.

In the recordings circulating on platforms such as X or Instagram, the 22-year-old can be seen trying to stand on a rock and defying the force with which the water comes down from the top.

According to the authorities' report, the incident occurred last Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Duduma waterfall, located in Odisha, India , where the man was with a group of friends.

Some images also show that, shortly after the influencer entered the body of water to make the video, he lost his balance and was quickly swept away.

For their part, the people who were with Sagar Kundu at the time of the incident clutched their heads in astonishment when they realized that the young man had disappeared in a matter of seconds.

According to the emergency teams' report, the YouTuber's body was found severely mutilated 10 days after the corresponding notification was made to the authorities.

Police also revealed that the investigation is ongoing to clarify the facts and circumstances of the content creator's death, as it was not the first time the victim had visited the location.

In addition, they indicated that, for now, they have requested an autopsy to determine the cause of death. They are also awaiting the footage found on the young man's cell phone to reconstruct what happened in the moments leading up to the accident.

Officials also confirmed that Sagar Kundu was caught in the middle of a huge surge that occurred after the release of water from the Machkund Dam , so his friends tried to rescue him, but were unsuccessful.

In the report, the officers also mentioned that the YouTuber had been to the waterfall on other occasions recording videos for his channel, despite warnings from locals about the risk he was facing.
