The Irish airline is known for its creative approach to fees. Now, a new fee is intended to prevent any more riots on board.

Ryanair will impose a €500 fine on passengers who misbehave and are subsequently thrown off a plane. "We hope our proactive approach will act as a deterrent to prevent unacceptable behavior on board our aircraft," a company spokesperson said on Thursday.

While the airline explained that a "small number" of passengers were behaving inappropriately, Ryanair is "the most punctual airline in Europe," and passengers expect a comfortable and stress-free journey and a punctual arrival.

Last summer, Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary complained about increasing problems with drunk passengers and called for restrictions on the sale of alcohol at airports. He also noted that more and more people are using harder drugs in addition to alcohol.
