Product presentation: New iPhones expected from Apple

The model is said to be noticeably thinner than current iPhones, with a thickness of around 5.5 millimeters. A compromise for the compact design, however, is that it will only have one camera lens, according to Bloomberg. Speculation about such a thinner iPhone had been rife for some time. Samsung beat Apple to the punch in this segment with the 5.8-millimeter-thick Galaxy Edge model.

Wider camera island

According to media reports, the next iPhone Pro will have a significantly new look for the first time since 2020: The camera island on the back will extend the width of the device. The frame will also be made of aluminum instead of titanium, as it is lighter and dissipates heat better. While Apple recently dispensed with color accents on its Pro devices, the new generation will reportedly also be available in orange.

Clock with satellite communication

In September, the company traditionally also unveils new models of its Apple Watch. This year, among other things, the next generation of the larger Apple Watch Ultra is expected, designed specifically for adventurers and extreme athletes. According to media reports, it will be able to communicate directly with satellites, among other things. At the other end of the price range, the cheapest model, the Apple Watch SE, is also expected to receive an update with new displays and chips.
