Munich's startup bubble is investing in this energy AI company – the founders have yet to

The Munich startup bubble has invested: 2.3 million euros were raised in a pre-seed round for Avoltra, the startup of Angelo Canzaniello Sáenz and Franz Zünkler.
Based in Nuremberg and Munich, they aim to develop an AI-supported platform that supports industrial companies in energy purchasing. The round was led by early-stage VC Project A.
Avoltra is also one of the first investments of the CDTM Venture Fund , which was established by alumni of the Center for Digital Technology & Management (CDTM). Among them are leading entrepreneurs such as Maximilian Wühr, Hanno Renner, Julia Bösch, and Mehmet Yilmaz.
We want to build a big company.
Well-known business angels are also on board: among others Sebastian Schuon (serial entrepreneur), Michael Wax (co-founder of Forto), Martina Merz (former Thyssenkrupp CEO), Thomas Dippold (CFO of SGL Carbon), Christian Vollmann (serial entrepreneur), Gisbert Rühl (investor and former CEO of Klöckner & Co) and Timon Ruban (co-founder of Luminovo ).
Canzaniello Sáenz and Zünkler began brainstorming Avoltra in the summer of 2024. They knew from the start that they wanted to establish a company in the energy market. Energy has become much more strategic for companies in recent years, Canzaniello Sáenz told Gründerszene.
