Oscar ceremony on March 2nd: Luxurious goodie bags as consolation prizes

Even without an Oscar, the stars are not going away empty-handed: the nominees in the most important categories can once again look forward to bulging gift bags with luxurious contents. This year, in addition to numerous beauty products, these include vouchers for luxury trips and liposuction. The Hollywood ranks can also look forward to a German product. The goodie bags are also intended to help support the Los Angeles region affected by the fires.

Traditionally, Los Angeles-based entertainment marketing company Distinctive Assets puts together the "Everyone Wins" gift bags for the nominees competing in the best actor and director categories at the Oscars. This year, the nominees include Adrien Brody, Demi Moore, Zoe Saldaña, Cynthia Erivo and Kieran Culkin. The bulging goodie bags are reportedly worth six figures this year.

Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary explained in a press release how the products are put together: "While our gifts are known for being fun and looking great, they also serve to promote small businesses, minority-owned brands, women entrepreneurs and companies that give back." Shortly after the fires in Los Angeles, the idea is to use the bags to do good for the region.

This year's nominees will therefore not only receive luxury products, but also a membership in the Bright Harbor disaster relief organization. And the Los Angeles-based construction company Maison Contractors will offer the stars various services and construction discounts. They can redeem the vouchers themselves - or pass them on to those affected.

In an Instagram video, Lash Fary gave an insight into the generous selection, which no longer fits in one bag. The stars can look forward to several bags and suitcases.

The gift packages also contain jewelry, skin care products, books, dog clothes, alcohol, cannabis products and a perfume from the Hamburg brand The Heart Company. There are also luxury travel vouchers, for example for a five-day wellness retreat in Sri Lanka and four nights in the Maldives, Joali Maldives and Joali Being. The stars can also treat themselves to a stay in the 5-star Cotton House hotel in Barcelona after the exciting Oscar night. And there is also a questionable voucher among the selection: for around 25,000 dollars, the usually rather slim celebrities can have fat sucked out.
