Mister Spex now offers its "Switch" subscription, which allows you to rent and try out several (designer) sunglasses and prescription glasses models at once – starting at just 9 euros per month, depending on your selection.
New sunglasses every year? This rental system makes it possible.
Instead of committing to a single model, customers can now rent up to three pairs of glasses at once – both prescription glasses and sunglasses from the entire range. In other words, anyone who wants to wear designer glasses no longer has to spend at least €300. The same applies to those who often have to pay significantly more for their prescription lenses – which usually leaves little room for creative frame choices or investing in multiple options. The "Mister Spex Switch" service is available in all 65 German stores. The principle is simple: After twelve months, a worn model can be exchanged for a new one, or the subscription can be canceled if necessary. This allows consumers not only to try on a pair of glasses flexibly and cost-consciously as they please, but also to consume in a much more sustainable way – instead of jumping on every eyewear trend and letting the model gather dust in a drawer after one season.
If your vision changes during the rental period, customers also benefit from a free annual eye health check – and if the change is more than 0.5 diopters, a free lens replacement is also included. Good to know: If your glasses get scratched, lost, or stolen during the rental period, comprehensive comprehensive insurance with a low deductible applies.
What happens to your prescription glasses and sunglasses after the rental period?Your rented models can either be purchased at a reduced price or donated to partner organizations such as “Brillen Weltweit”.
