Mourning for Ernst Hilbich: Actor and cabaret artist dies at 93

Actor and cabaret artist Ernst Hilbich has died. He succumbed to pneumonia shortly before his 94th birthday.
The German actor, cabaret artist and radio play speaker Ernst H. Hilbich is dead. He died on February 20th at the age of 93, as is now known and was initially reported by the "Bild" newspaper . According to further reports, the bereaved have since confirmed the news.
According to reports, the singer of the carnival song "Today is carnival in Knieritz an der Knatter" died in his house in Cologne-Marienburg from the effects of pneumonia. He would have turned 94 on March 16.
Reunited with his loveHis niece Miriam Krekel is quoted as saying: "My uncle passed away peacefully. Before that, he actually drank a Kölsch. He never really got over the death of my aunt, his beloved wife Lotti Krekel." It comforts her to know that "the two can now be together again." The popular actress and singer Lotti Krekel died in April 2023 at the age of 81.
Hilbich has appeared in numerous TV and cinema productions. He played the character Jupp Adamski in the WDR series "Die Anrheiner" and acted in feature films, especially in the 1970s, such as "Trubel um Trixie" with Uschi Glas (80) or in "Kinderarzt Dr. Fröhlich" alongside Roy Black (1943-1991).
