Men dominate the German startup scene. This is hardly surprising. However, the Bertelsmann Foundation's current Female Founders Monitor demonstrates how serious the situation truly is: For the first time, the proportion of female founders in the German startup ecosystem is declining – and significantly. Gesa Miczaika, founder of Auxxo , the first German VC fund that specifically invests in startups with female founding teams, shares this view.
