"Battle of the Reality Stars": The most unequal couple in trash history approaches

"Battle of the Reality Stars": The most unequal couple in trash history approaches

"Battle of the Reality Stars" enters the home stretch with episode eight – with crazy plot twists and an odd couple.

With episode eight, "Kampf der Realitystars" (Wednesday, 8:15 p.m., on RTLzwei and in advance on RTL+ ) finally enters the home stretch. New celebrities are no longer allowed to enter the star beach. The privilege of being able to kick out a sala resident as a newcomer is therefore no longer available.

Or is it? The production is once again making the reality stars an immoral offer. With part of their fees, the contestants can bid on the status of newcomer. This not only means the right to immediately vote out an undesirable competitor, but also nomination protection for the highest bidder.

So which star would voluntarily minimize their fee to secure their spot? While some contestants bid around 1,000 euros, Laura Lettgen (28) goes all-in. She throws her entire fee into the hat: 10,000 euros. After all, she sees herself on Giuliana Farfalla's (29) hit list, among others. Her rival would like to proactively remove her.

Frank Fussbroich sacrifices a five-figure sum - and Can

But one celebrity is offering more. To be precise, 399 euros more. Frank Fussbroich (56) is offering 10,399 euros. Although he's not exactly up against the wall. Whether this is his entire fee, the reality veteran won't reveal.

Frank is now allowed to eliminate a colleague with immediate effect. His choice falls on Can Kaplan (28). He had already been eliminated, but Frank, of all people, brought him back from reality limbo in the last episode, along with Laura and Bela Klentze (36).

With his costly move, Frank wants to destroy the powerful "alliance" around Can. Besides Can, this alliance also includes Laura and Dennis Lodi (28).

Before the "Wall of Truth," the producers warn the reality stars that their results today will have particularly significant consequences. The task is to rank the celebrities according to the number of their fans. Thanks to his work in many well-known series, Bela landed at the top of a poll. The stars also placed the former "Unter uns" star at the top.

After the rankings, the contestants go individually to the "Show Business" booth. There, video calls with friends and relatives await. But there's also a nasty twist. Only the stars who were correctly matched on the "Wall of Truth" are allowed to speak with the right people. The others are connected with the relatives of the stars who were incorrectly matched on the photo wall.

For example, Frank speaks with Laura's family. The confusion is great, the disappointment rather small. After all, the stars had no idea beforehand that the chance to talk to their loved ones even existed. Only Pinar Sevim (35) smelled a rat and is accordingly sad and angry about the "underhanded" maneuver. However, the action has a positive side effect for the stars. To exchange greetings, celebrities who otherwise avoid each other also speak to each other.

Tara and Dennis: Odd couple get closer

The mood in the saloon is positive. At an impromptu party, Dennis and Tara Tabitha (31) bond. Although the posh Austrian admits that she "doesn't fit" with the demonstratively shameless, constant belcher, the roommates practically force Dennis to dance with Tara. He then tinkers with her feet, as emotionless as a physiotherapist. But that night, Tara snuggles up to Dennis. She just "feels like cuddling," and her former crush, Can, is gone.

Spoiler alert for a crazy plot twist. As we now know thanks to social media, Dennis and Tara are a couple in real life. This was not expected when Tara arrived at the sala. Anyone who had bet just 10 euros on the two getting together would now be more than 10,399 euros richer.

Will Stephen Dürr get it this time?

In the safety game, the remaining ten candidates must compete in pairs. Thanks to his investment, Frank is allowed to rest in the sala. The five pairs are tied back to back and must untangle a rope stretched across a course. Giuliana and Jens Hilbert (47) come out on top. Jens credits his experience as a show jumper for their triumph. He took control and simply pulled Giuliana along. So, the two are safe.

Jens was on the hit list for several competitors, so they had to rethink their plans. Stephen Dürr (50) gets two coins right at the beginning. Will the polarizing actor, who has been on the verge of being swarmed since episode one, really get it this time? But then the mood suddenly changes. Bela receives several votes against him, saying he's separating himself from the group.

But in the end, it's Stephen who gets the better of him. This time, he couldn't wriggle out of it like so many times before. The former "Unter uns" star is visibly disappointed, even though he says he had expected to be eliminated in episode three.
