Suspected prescription forgery: 18-year-old arrested after tip-off from pharmacies

On the same day, the suspect, an 18-year-old man with no fixed residence in Germany, was arrested by a civilian patrol in a pharmacy in the Munich district of Bogenhausen. Following his arrest, the young man was taken to the Munich Police Headquarters detention center and brought before an investigating judge the following day, who issued an arrest warrant.
Investigations revealed that he allegedly used forged prescriptions several times since mid-July. A pack of 60 tablets of the drug is listed at a price of more than 3,000 euros. This resulted in financial losses amounting to several thousand euros.
During further investigations, the criminal investigation department was able to seize several mailed shipments containing forged prescriptions that had been sent to Munich for collection. This led to further arrests in Hanover and Mannheim. There, investigators also found forged prescriptions that would have caused additional damage in the mid-five-figure range.
