As health policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group, Tino Sorge has been a quasi-parliamentary counterpart to the Minister of Health since the 2021 federal election.
The Thuringian native, who celebrates his 50th birthday in March, is married and has been a member of the Bundestag since 2013. In addition to Magdeburg, the lawyer's constituency also includes Barby, Calbe, Schönebeck and the municipality of Bördeland.
In the new legislative period, Sorge wants to work towards better structures and digitalization in emergency medicine. At the end of January, during a visit to Magdeburg University Hospital, he emphasized: "Catastrophic events such as terrorist attacks, natural disasters or serious accidents show how important well-established emergency care is."
Sorge is a passionate skier and snowboarder. When the weather is nice, he likes to go out in his faithfully preserved VW Beetle (built in 1965) or with Oscar, his Spanish water dog. (zie)
